Raffle Results

Dear Club Presidents and Polio Eradication Chairs -

Thank you for participating in the Polio Eradication Raffle.  Although our timing was difficult (over the holidays), Rotarians from 45 of our 57 clubs participated in the raffle.  We raised almost $85,000 and will net approximately $81,000 for the Polio Eradication Campaign after all expenses are met.  In other words, through your efforts, our District has raised enough money to purchase polio vaccine for more than 640,000 children!

Many people have asked who the lucky winners were - so here's the list: 

1st Prize (2 tickets to Europe on Northwest Airlines) -     Carrie Lee Starry, a Rotarian from Mpls-Plymouth

2nd Prize (a 20" LCD TV)- Annie King, sold by Rotarian
     Bruce Johnson from St. Louis Park Sunrise

3rd Prize ($1,000 Gift Certificate from the Mall of
     America) - Joanne Wilke, sold by her husband,
     Rotarian Don Wilke from the Great River Rotary Club.

A BIG thank you to everyone who participated in the Polio Eradication Raffle.  But please remember, the raffle is only one piece of our campaign to raise $1,000,000 to help eradicate this dread disease by Rotary's 100th Anniversary in 2005.  If we all work together, we CAN and we WILL change the world.
