  Chuck Berg District Governor Rotary International District 5950 Dear Rotary Friends, Rotary International President Kalyan Banerjee has asked us this year to "Reach Within to Embrace Humanity." He continued, asking each of us to "Discover yourself, develop the strengths within you, and then unhesitatingly, unflinchingly, go forth and encircle the world, to embrace humanity." Our District has a rich history of delivering service to our local communities and throughout the world. We can rightly and proudly claim a position as one of the leading Districts in Rotary International. Yet our communities, and indeed the world, need us more than ever. We must address these needs and take on the challenge of leading our clubs to even greater heights. As you look within, please recall that special moment when you became a Rotarian, remembering what it was that drove you to "Service Above Self." Sharing these stories with those we know can help us to reinvigorate our clubs and inspire us to serve humanity. I look forward to working with you as we solve the problems in our communities, and as we "Reach Within to Embrace Humanity." |
