Our Rotary International District 5950 Governor, Sandy Schley, is native of Rice Lake, Wisconsin.  

A member of the Rotary Club of Edina since 1997, Sandy served the club as their President in 2005-2006.  She is a Past Assistant Governor for Area Three, a Multiple Paul Harris Fellow and a Charter Member of the District 5950 Paul Harris Society.

Sandy received her BS Summa Cum Laude from the University of Wisconsin, and her MS and PhD with Honors from the University of Wisconsin.  She attended Stanford University Small Business Executive Development Program as a Bush Foundation Leadership Fellow.

Sandy has enjoyed a career as a college teacher and administrator, a sales & marketing executive in the computer software industry, and volunteer leader in the non-profit sector.  She is personally committed to developing leaders for today, and creating ideas and organizations for tomorrow.

Sandy and her husband, Duane, have two adult sons, Geoff and Steve, and a daughter-in-law, Nichole.  

She has been an active member of Mt. Olivet and Normandale Lutheran Churches, a Bush Foundation Leadership Fellow, Founding Member and Past President of the Edina Federated Women’s Club, Member of the International Federation of Women’s Clubs Board, and Chair of Southdale YMCA Community Board.
